Where are the comets?
Ever since we started recording the arrival of comets in
our skies, we could count on there being a remarkably
bright and impressive show every twenty years or so.
We are now in a comet drought. Waiting for the next big
one. Any day now!
Do we have a launch date?
The mission to send humans back to the Moon
seems to be on hold right now.
Exoplanets… the Latest
The new trick question in Astronomy; ‘How
many planets are there?’ Turns out there are
hundreds, with more being discovered all of
the time.
More solar system moons
Time was, there were only a couple of dozen
known moons orbiting the planets of our solar
system. With better instrumentation and fancy
new space telescopes, that number has grown
considerably.
