Special glasses are available to filter the light of the Sun. You may also use aluminized mylar to filter your camera. Unfortunately, there is often such hysteria about a solar eclipse that some people miss out on a great opportunity to witness one of nature’s greatest shows. I speak from personal experience. For the two or three minutes that you can find yourself in the umbra of the Moons shadow, you will gain a memory that will stay with you forever! Lunar eclipses are nowhere near as interesting.
