Saturn in June
A Morning Object
Saturn is also a prominent morning object in June. It will be reaching
opposition at the end of August, and will be well-placed in the evening by then. It’s
always a treat to see the rings. I am amused at the reaction when someone gets a
look for the first time.
Oh yes, it is quite possible to see Saturn’s rings, even in a small telescope.
But you might need a little guidance if you have not tried before. Sky & Telescope
magazine offers this help.
