Mars in October
Wait til Next Year Mars was in conjunctionwith the Sun on the 2nd of September and essentially lost to us until the middle of next year when it will have moved far enough into the dawn to appear as a morning object. Even in a small telescope, it is possible to see the polar ice caps of the Red Planet. Here’s a video that will give you a good idea of what the view through a modest sized telescope would look like.
