CURRENT MOON
Mars is sinking into the western sky after sunset as the month begins. The Red Planet will be in conjunction with the Sun on January 16 of next year. It will be quite unobservable from Earth until late spring next year.. Even in a small telescope, it is possible to see the polar ice caps of the Red Planet. Here’s a video that will give you a good idea of what the view through a modest sized telescope might look like.
