Uranus
Uranus
Uranus is now a faint object in the evening
sky. Uranus is currently in Aries and will be
there for a while. Uranus resides in each of the
twelve zodiacal constellations for an average of
seven years each. Here’s a chart showing the
positions of the next dozen or so oppositions.
The distant planet is a challenging object at
any time. It’s just a bit too faint to see for most
of us, but if your eyesight is sharp, you could
spot it without optical aid. With a proper star
chart and a small telescope, the rest of us should
be able to spot it.
Oh, by the way, the pronunciation of this
planet has been the butt of many jokes.
